Cortex Salon has been in business in the same location in Virginia-Highlands for nearly 30 years but they have never had a website that has reflected the warm neighborhood feel that it has. We wanted to make sure that came across while also emphasizing the humanity and empathy that accompanies the personal relationship you have with your stylist.

The main thing we wanted to show in the Cortex website was people. The salon has a very warm vibe and the earthy tones we used in the design, in combination with photos of real customers, evokes the warmth of the actual studio.
